About Aimee

Licensed Psychotherapist, Transformational Coach and Group Facilitator

I believe that feeling alive & vibrant is our birthright.

I believe that risking the expression of what is truly burning in our hearts is worth everything.

Some of My Life story…

When I was 8 years old, I stopped talking completely for many months, and depression became my childhood companion. In a difficult and neglectful home environment with mentally ill parents, this established a lifelong pattern of shutting down my voice and my authentic self to stay safe and hidden. My innate life force kept wanting to shine through in creative expression from piano to art to premiering my dance skills on American Bandstand.

However, shutting down to stay safe continued to be my pattern.

My creative self expression kept rising...

It was trying to show me a way out of the shutdown but it wasn’t until I turned 50, on the heels of years of inner healing that I was able to create a one-woman autobiographical performance about my life. The process of recreating my life journey through spoken word, movement and music revealed to me the sustainable creative life force that had been knocking at my door my whole life, waiting for me to invite it in.

Now I have reclaimed this creative life force and am so grateful to be able to express it and support others to do the same. I love art and all forms of self expression. I am a painter, a writer and dancer. I’m also a music lover, and I am passionate about nature and love spending time in redwood trees, by the ocean, with animals and loved ones. I believe in the power of embodiment, and creative expression.

As we connect with our bodies and hearts, we connect with courage

As we connect with courage we can be in service of healing ourselves and the challenges in our troubled world.
